Role of the Trinity - I John 5:7
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (I John 5:7 KJV).”
Before time was, the Trinity existed and the first verse in the Bible talks about the Trinity because we know the word “God” in Hebrew means three or more. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” (Genesis 1:1-2 KJV). Verse two talks about the third person in the Trinity which is the Holy Spirit. There is another verse in Genesis chapter one that talks about the Trinity. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:26 KJV). “Let us make man in our image;” the word “us” is a plural pronoun meaning more than one and in the Hebrew, plural means three or more which is talking about the Trinity when it says “us”. The Bible says: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one” (I John 5:7 KJV). The Father, Son (Word) and Holy Spirit are from eternity past; none of the three are created beings because all three are One God -“three are one.”
I want to talk about the role of the Trinity. God the Father planned the process of Salvation. He never predestined anyone to Hell or Heaven; however, He prepared the plan of Salvation before time was created. He outlined the plan of salvation before the world existed. God the Son (Word) carried out the plan of Salvation. He did all the work -“IT IS FINISHED.” God the Spirit seals the deal when people believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross for their sins, burial, and resurrection.
Let us read about the role of the Trinity. Father’s role clearly defined in Ephesians 1:4-6, Son’s (Word) role defined in Ephesians 1:7-12 and Spirit’s role defined in Ephesians 1:13-14. “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory (Ephesians 1:1-14 KJV).
The Father outlined the Plan of Salvation. Father says: if you want to be the chosen, you must go through my son; if you want to be the elect, you must go through my Son. The Father never “predestined” anyone to Hell or Heaven; He predestined the process of Salvation. Jesus Christ carried out the Plan of Salvation. Adam and Eve looked forward to the Cross; we look backward to the Cross because Jesus Christ paid for ALL sin. We believe the Plan of Salvation -we believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins, burial, and resurrection. We, believers, are immediately sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise guaranteeing our inheritance into Heaven. You receive the Holy Spirit when you believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Trinity has very clear roles: Father predestined the plan of Salvation; the Son (Word) carried out or completed the plan of Salvation; and, when you believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, burial and resurrection the Spirit seals you into the Body of Christ. “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (I John 5:7 KJV). Satan wants you to believe Jesus is only man, martyr, prophet, transformed being, or creation which are lies. Jesus Christ is God for only God could die for all sins of all humanity (past present future); only God could resurrect from the dead and ascend to Heaven and sit at the right hand of the Father today. Remember, to be an eternal Father, you have to have an eternal Son!
If you have not believed, what is stopping you right now from believing? Believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, burial, and resurrection and receive the greatest gift ever which is eternal life. Eternal life does not start when you die, eternal life starts the very second you believe in Jesus Christ for salvation. Why not trust in Jesus Christ today for salvation. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18 KJV)
If you know someone who is not saved, forward this message to them and share the greatest gift that one could ever receive.

Once Saved, Always Saved -"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one." (John 10:28-30 KJV)
