Everlasting Life is Everlasting Life - John 3:16

Could it be True?

Could it be true that a person can be eternally secure in Christ? Could it be true that you can have a relationship with God that can NEVER BE LOST no matter what you might do or believe in the future? Jesus answers this question for us and He says repeatedly and emphatically “YES!”

Everlasting Life is “EVER-LASTING” LIFE

John 3:16 (KJV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Jesus promises “Everlasting Life” to the one who believes in Him and that is exactly what you receive when you believe. Since it is “Everlasting Life”, it cannot last 10, 20, or 30 years, and then be lost. Since “Everlasting Life” is the only kind of life God gives, then the one who believes in Him for salvation receives “Everlasting Life.”

The reason you receive “Everlasting Life” when you believe in Jesus Christ alone for salvation is that Jesus Christ paid for ALL sin at the Cross of Calvary. He paid for the sin of past, He paid for the sin of present and He paid for the sin of future for all mankind. What people don’t realize when they say “you can lose your salvation” is they are saying “Jesus Christ did not pay for all sin.” The people that say you can “lose your salvation” have a flaw in their argument because their argument is “you can lose salvation because of a certain deed or act” which is a sin. If this is the foundation of your argument: you are denying Jesus Christ died on the Cross for sin (all sin); and, you are denying Jesus is the Christ (Anointed One), the Son of God. “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:31 KJV). My Bible says: “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;” (Colossians 2:10-14 KJV)

If you could lose your salvation (which you cannot lose your salvation) because of sin, remember there is no forgiveness for sin without the shedding of blood. “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22 KJV).

If you could lose your salvation (which you cannot lose your salvation), Jesus Christ would have to reveal Himself in the flesh and die again, be buried again, and resurrect again every time you committed sin; however, thank God this is not the case. Hebrews 10:10,12 (KJV) “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all...But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.” IT IS FINISHED!

Let’s be honest, if you believe that you can lose your salvation (which you cannot lose your salvation), you are not trusting in the Finished Redemptive Work of Jesus Christ and you are trying to “earn salvation” by “keeping your salvation” because you feel you can lose your salvation (which you cannot lose your salvation). “Earning salvation” is a “work” and is not faith alone in the Finished Redemptive Work of Jesus Christ. Trying to “keep your salvation” is a “work” and is not faith alone in the Finished Redemptive Work of Jesus Christ. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV).

“Everlasting Life” has to last forever. If “everlasting life” could be lost (which you cannot lose your salvation), then it has the WRONG NAME! If you could lose your salvation (which you cannot lose your salvation), it would not be called “EVERLASTING LIFE!”

If you have not believed, what is stopping you right now from believing? Believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, burial, and resurrection and receive the greatest gift ever which is Everlasting Life. Everlasting Life does not start when you die, Everlasting Life starts the very second you believe in Jesus Christ for salvation. Why not trust in Jesus Christ today for salvation. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18 KJV)

If you know someone who is not saved, forward this message to them and share the greatest gift that one could ever receive which is EVERLASTING LIFE!

Once Saved, Always Saved -"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one." (John 10:28-30 KJV)
