Eternal Life starts when You Believe - John 5:24

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24 KJV).

Eternal Life is something a person receives when they believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, burial, and resurrection -they step from “death unto life.” Eternal Life is not received when a person dies but is received immediately when they believe. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24 KJV). Eternal Life is not based on a person’s relationship with God but is based on the position with God which is “positional truth.” The very second a person believes the Gospel -Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, burial and resurrection this person is born again and forever a child of God received by faith in Jesus Christ; the same very second the person believes, the person receives eternal life because they are a child of God once they believe. Before a person believes in the Gospel of Salvation, he/she is not a child of God. “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it” (John 8:44 KJV). “Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others” (Ephesians 2:3 KJV). When a person believes in the Gospel, they become a child of God: “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:26 KJV). A child of God can never lose the position of a “child” which is why eternal life starts when a person believes in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Eternal life is not based on the relationship with God; eternal life is based on the position with God. Once a person receives the position of a child of God by faith in Jesus Christ, this person “passed from death unto life.”

If you have not believed, what is stopping you right now from believing? God loves you and has already died and resurrected to meet you. Believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, burial, and resurrection and receive the greatest gift ever which is eternal life. Eternal life does not start when you die, eternal life starts the very second you believe in Jesus Christ for salvation. Why not trust in Jesus Christ today for salvation. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18 KJV)
